quote for the day

"Hence, perhaps, it is that we sometimes find juster conceptions of the unity, the vital connexion, and the subordination to a moral purpose, of the different parts of Truth, among those who acknowledge nothing higher than the changing aspect of collective humanity, than among those who profess an intellectual allegiance to the father of lights." - George Boole

  1. First off I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question which I'd like to ask if you don't mind.
I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your
head before writing. I've had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out.
I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost
simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints?
    Thanks!

    1. I could actually wright better. And, I often try to polish up some posts. I've tried to use this blog to get ideas down, whether I express them correctly.

But, my recommendations is to read a lot, take notes, stop yourself to make connections. Look for the general idea and relate the specific details.

It's a bit like figuring out how to aim a rocket. You could either keep the angle the same, and increase the power(if you can increase the power), or you keep the power the same, and change the angle. Launch of bunch of rockets at different angles, stay systematic, and graph the results. When you want to see what angle to launch a rocket, look at your graph, find the distance desired, and go down to the x axis to see what angle you need. This was of course be approximate.

Thinking is a bit like that. First, you want to stuff your head with a bunch of stuff, then you want to pick that one point from which to view all others - the general point, or the special case.
