inconsistent concepts/evasive language and Jacob Bronowski/Democracy needs Science and what destroy's Democracy

For awhile, it seemed that the science documentaries, Jacob Bronowski Ascent of Man, James Burke's Connections and "The Day the Universe Changed" amongst others seemed stable on DailyMotion, as opposed to youtube. Well, I'm just going to link to the epsiode 1 of Jacob Bronowski's Ascent of Man, which was up as of when i wrote this blog entry --> Ascent of Man - 01 - Lower Than the Angels

About 47:20 minutes in the video, Jacob shows that he understands inconsistent concepts/evasive language(logic? I mean could language be broken down into little concrete logics?).  Jacob remarks that here man tries to tame the animals by magic.  But magic doesn't explain anything.  "It says man has power, but what power?"

I might have mentioned this somewhere earlier in this blog; but, I thought I'd bring it up again, placing it next to a lot of my recent blog posts exploring the difference between the rational and irrational behaviors. But, I'd like to point out something else - Democracy

I had some poorly written blog posts about Democracy.  I was probably on the right track though!

I remember someone many years ago remarking that Science doesn't need Democracy/Democracy needs Science. You don't vote on a logical proof, or a factual observation.  You use logic and face facts to do science. Democracy on the other hand is about voting.  And, the only way for the voting to work is if the voters are educated. They need to be educated to think factually and logically. Or, else, the Democracy just becomes mass incrowding - the type of things that led to the vote to have Socrates die for corrupting kids to question things.

"The Dark Side of the force" as I like to call it, and have explained now in numerous ways(both real life quotes and even in some of the greatest Sci Fi movies ever made!) is the destroyer of Democracy.

I'll, again, put all the links to my previous blog posts showing fear tactics, evasive language in the replies section.
